cressingtempleSituated between Braintree and Witham, Cressing Temple is an ancient medieval moated
farmstead which takes its unusual name from the monks of the Knights Templar. The monks
founded the two vast oak barns in the 13th century, which form the centrepiece of this delightful
rural estate. The barns are open throughout most of the year, and visitors can enjoy a full
programme of cultural events.
